Brian Clark, J.D. Brian Clark is a principal with the Skagit Law Group, PLLC, in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was formerly a partner in the law firm of Bannister, Bruhn & Clark in Mount Vernon for 14 years, after which he was the principal in the Law Office of Brian E. Clark, Inc., P.S. During the period 1974 to 1978, Brian worked as a certified public accountant in the states of Hawaii and Washington for what was then the public accounting firm of Ernst & Ernst.

Brian received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in accounting, and is also a cum laude graduate of the University of Puget Sound Law School (now Seattle University). He is currently admitted to the Washington State Bar, as well as the U.S. Federal and Tax Courts. He is a member and former President of the Northwest Washington Estate Planning Council, a member and former President of the Skagit County Bar Association, and a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust, Elder Law, and Taxation Sections of the Washington State Bar Association.

Brian’s current law practice emphasizes estate planning, and trust and estate settlement. In addition, his practice includes business entity formation, commercial transactions, and real estate. He has been an active speaker in the estate planning field and has also taught courses at the local community college in both estate planning and real estate law.

Brian is a western Washington native, who grew up in Mount Vernon. He was a 20-year-plus member and past president of the Skagit-Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club. He served on the board for the Mount Vernon Library and was instrumental in the organization, planning and fund-raising for the McIntyre Hall Performing Art Center located on the campus of Skagit Valley College. He has served and advised numerous non-profit organizations over the years in connection with their planned giving. His hobbies and pastimes include snow skiing, golf, hiking and travel. He is married to Mary Hendrickson Clark, and they have three daughters, Sarah, Laura and Ellen.
