Megan Otis Masonholder, J.D.

Megan_Masonholder_skagit_lawyer_attorneyMegan provides legal advice in all areas of estate planning and estate settlement with extensive experience drafting wills and trusts and handling probate and trust administration matters, including planning and services for taxable estates.  Megan also assists her clients with business matters including entity formation, commercial transactions, and succession planning.

Megan’s practice continues to emphasize employment law matters, representing employers of all sizes, both public and private.  She helps employers with policy drafting and auditing, regulatory and statutory compliance, drafting and reviewing employment related contracts, internal investigations, and all areas of human resources.  Megan is a speaker for human resources groups and provides employee training.

Megan also enjoys providing legal advice and services to many of her non-profit clients.

Megan graduated cum laude from Western Washington University and with honors from the University of Washington School of Law.  Megan began her legal career in 1999 at Anderson Hunter law firm in Everett, where she became a senior shareholder in the litigation department and served on that firm’s executive management committee.  While at Anderson Hunter, Megan’s practice focused primarily on litigation, and she became an experienced trial attorney, appearing in district, superior, appellate, and federal courts, focusing on employment, commercial litigation, and insurance defense matters.  Megan became a member of Skagit Law Group, PLLC, as a principal attorney in 2013.  She is admitted to the Washington State Bar as well as the United States Federal Courts and has belonged to both the Skagit County and Snohomish County bar associations.

A Skagit Valley native, Megan was raised in La Conner where she and her husband, Brian, a Mount Vernon High School graduate, are raising their two children.
